Wow… it has been a long time now, but the D-28 is complete. It will be at the Greater Downstate Indoor Bluegrass festival in Springfield, Illinois Friday – Sunday. The festival is held at the Crowne Plaza on the East side of town just off I-55.
The first sounds of this instrument were exceptional. I couldn’t believe that it could sound as good as it does after all the work that had to be done. It will be displayed, with a photo diary of the restoration, at the Bluegrass Shack display area on the main level. It will also be available to view and play in the jam rooms after the display/vendor area closes.
Come on out and enjoy some great Bluegrass shows and all-night jamming.
